Devanshi

Character / Role: Saibai Bhonsale

My name is Devanshi, and I am currently pursuing my M.Sc. in Counselling Psychology. Beyond books and classrooms, my heart has always found its home in emotions, stories, and expression.

Since childhood, I have always been drawn to cinema, theatre, and drama. For me, they were never just entertainment. They were an escape, a comfort, and sometimes even a source of strength during difficult times. Somewhere inside, I always wanted to be a part of that world, but I never really had the confidence. So doing this role now feels very personal.

Playing Sai Bai in the drama on Chhatrapati Shivaji feels meaningful because she carries so much grace, depth, and quiet strength. I feel connected to that. In a way, it also connects with the therapist in me; holding emotions, understanding pain, and expressing strength softly.

After many years, I am returning to something like theatre, and for me, this feels like a return to a part of myself that I had lost somewhere. I’m also very grateful for the support and guidance I’ve received here. It has made this experience feel safe and special. For me, this is not just acting. It is expression, confidence, and a chance to bring a part of myself to life through this character.
